Castile and León

Castile and LeonCastile & Leon is the largest autonomous region of Spain, located in the North western part of the county. It was formed by the union of the two medieval kingdoms of Castile and Leon.

Unfortunately, the region of Castile and Leon does not get the attention it deserves and is not traditionally on the tourist map. If tourists do head for this beautiful area of North Western Spain, it is for the cityscapes of the likes of Vallolidid (the de facto regional capital), Burgos, Salamanca and Leon.
