Saarland

Sharing a border with France and Luxembourg, Saarland is one of Germany’s westernmost states. Its largest city is Saarbrücken, located right on the country’s border with France. In town, tourists will be charmed by Saarbrücken’s atmosphere. Like many German cities, its old town still lies as its centre, and is the perfect place to window shop or have a coffee. Within walking distance, visitors will find the Europa Galerie, one of the best shopping destinations in the area. There is also a lovely history museum and German-French garden outside of the city center, offering many with activities for people of all ages.

Sitting just opposite the gardens is one of Saarland’s largest casinos. Casino Saarbrücken is a modern casino offering a large number of electronic slots machines, but also the ever-poplar table games of Roulette, Blackjack and Poker. One of the few places in town open all night, keep in mind that patrons must be at least 18 years old to enter the casino, and they must show proof of valid ID. Smart casual dress is also required for entry. The only other casino in Saarland is located in Nennig, some 70 kilometers north-west of Saarbrücken.
