The German state of Baden Württemberg is situated in the southwest corner of the country, bordering France and Switzerland. Stuttgart is the state’s capital city and also its largest ciry. Typically German, Stuttgart features a beautiful market hall (Markthalle) stocked with fresh, regional food. It’s also home to an excellent shopping street in Königstrasse, and the futuristic Mercedes Benz museum. For a change of pace, travelers can head to the Baden-Baden Casino. One of the most palatial and extravagant casinos in all of Europe, the casino features lavish interiors reminiscent of days gone by. Set at the center of a famous Black Forest spa town, the casino was inspired by the Palace of Versailles. Guests can play American or French Roulette, Blackjack, Poker and slot machines so long as they meet the casino’s entry requirements. Visitors must be 21 or over and show valid ID (passport or EU ID card) and must abide by the dress code which prohibits casual wear, sports shoes, etc.
